Shaun Alexander, Former NFL MVP, Expecting 14th Child with Wife Valerie

Big Reveal on Up & Adams

Former Seattle Seahawks running back and NFL MVP (2005) Shaun Alexander has announced that he and his wife Valerie Alexander are expecting their 14th child.

During an appearance on the Up & Adams Show with host Kay Adams, the 48-year-old shared the news with a smile:

“We’re just now starting to tell people, but number 14 is in the belly.”

The reveal marks the first time Alexander has spoken publicly about the pregnancy.

A Family of Faith and Football

Shaun and Valerie married in 2002 and have become parents to 13 children: Judea, Hope, Hosanna, Eternity, Torah, Jedidiah, Honor, Temple, Justus, Joseph, Eden, Trinity and Heaven.

The couple’s family story includes both joy and loss. Their daughter Torah tragically passed away as an infant, but the Alexanders continue to celebrate their faith and growing household.

Alexander frequently shares glimpses of his family life on social media. Earlier this year, he posted about taking his sons to the 2025 NFL Draft for his son Jedidiah’s birthday.
